This beautiful home was in desperate need of major updates. In addition to the original kitchen and bathrooms, the home had an ugly 1970’s slab on grade addition on the rear. The old addition was removed to make way for the new addition that includes the garage, family room, master bedroom suite and an additional bedroom and bath. The clients wanted the original part of the home to be updated and energy efficient and the new addition to feel like it could have been part of the original. The home’s walls were taken to the studs while leaving the original trim intact; this allowed for spray foam insulation in the walls and ceiling. All of the original windows were upgraded to modern glazing. Upgraded HVAC, electrical and plumbing systems were installed during the renovation. The final product is an old home that lives like new.
